| By coincidence I (jay Leslie) was looking through a box of thousancs of papers and saw the picture below. It's a good possibility the Eagle wings on the the Proscenium Arch (below) inspired Jim Swoger to add them to the front of his version (above).
The advertisment was from Tampa, Englands Court Magician. Tampa lived just a few miles from Jim Swoger's shop originally in Willkinsburgh PA. Tampa is pictured on the right, dressed appropriately, and looking at his Luxor Mummy, a draw that brought people to his shows. I wonder who has those props now? |
